The opposite appears easy

The opposite appears easy

A 20 rupee note seems like such a large amount when you donate it to temple, but it is a small amount when you go shopping
Two hours seem so long when you’re at Temple, but it is so short when you’re in a Show. You can’t find word to say when you’re praying for ten minutes. But you have no trouble chating with a friend for two hours. It is difficult and boring to read one chapter of Bhagwad Gita. But easy it is to read 100 pages of a novel. Everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts or games. But they do whatever is possible to sit at the last row in a puja. For us to attend an event at the Temple, we need know about it at least two days in advance so that we can include it in our agenda. But we can adjust it for other events even in the last minute. We believe everything that magazines and newspapers say. But we can’t believe all that is said in scriptures. Every one of us wants to go to supreme heaven. But we are not willing to do anything to get there.

A Hearty Prayer
O God! We are thy little children;
Please Bless us Please
Dismantle the mountain of ego from our minds
Terminate the spiral of greed from our thoughts
Crush the envy from our unlimited desires
Quench the fire of anger in our behaviors
Create fresh ideas for innovation in our minds
Develop a purposeful vision in our Spirit
Grant compassion and kindness in our attitude
Spread thou eternal bliss
Everywhere for everyone
